Flacid Opportunism

David Cameron's thoughts on black and inner city Britain are moving words from a coke-snorting Etonian toff, but they at least have the sincerity of a committed career politician and former spin-man.

But Nicol Stephen is B-List Holyrood Mondeo Chasing turd with a charisma bypass that makes Charles Kennedy look like an inspired orator.

How his party of perpetual losers don't get a sore arse fom sitting on the fence I don't know. Nicol and Ming's recent outbursts about referenda look about as democratic as a Florida election. The truth is Ming may have pished on his chips as he stated of Alex Salmond: "He is like the Grand Old Duke of York of Scottish politics: when he was up he was up and when he was down he was down but most of the time he is half way up, which is neither up nor down."

Strange when actually Salmond's tactical plan of chasing Gordon (one of the countrys least winnable seats - where the SNP came third behind the Liberals in 2003) actually smacks of bravery and bravado.

I'm not a SNP member but the gaul of the Lib-Dems who have reneged on every green or liberal commitment they have ever made in Scottish politics is disgusting. What's the bravest thing Nicol Stephen has ever done? His expense claim?
