There is a anti BNP demo being organised on Saturday on Buchanan St by the Fight Racism, Fight Imperialism and will be supported by most of the local left.
The area around Borders books has become a regular venue for left orientated stalls of various persuasions, a welcome and useful recoccupation of the consumer world.
Last week the paper sellers and stalls were abused by the BNP who attempted to disrupt the scene. They were opposed and driven off.
We've heard that the police have been trying to drive out the stalls from the vicinity of
Borders. So here's a good opportunity to defeat the BNP and stand up for free speech.
